Paul Slovic receives the Franklin Institute’s 2022 Bower Award for Achievement in Science

President of Decision Research Paul Slovic has received the Franklin Institute’s 2022 Bower Award and Prize for Achievement in Science. Since 1824, The Franklin Institute of Philadelphia has honored the legacy of Benjamin Franklin by presenting awards for outstanding achievements in science, engineering, and industry. This award was granted to Dr. Slovic for foundational theoretical and empirical contributions to the study of decision making, including understanding perceptions of individual and societal risk, and cognitive and emotional factors affecting preference.
